Madi Haslam is a writer and editor based in Montreal.

She is currently digital editor of Toronto Life. Previously, she was editor-in-chief of Maisonneuve, a quarterly of arts, opinion & ideas.

She also edited the anthology LETTERS FROM MONTREAL (Véhicule Press, 2022). Order the book here.

Madi has edited more than a dozen features, essays and short stories that have been nominated for National Magazine Awards. She’s juried for the NMAs, the Digital Publishing Awards and the Ontario Arts Council.

She regularly speaks to post-secondary students and emerging writers about feature writing, pitching, fact-checking and magazine production.

Madi holds a bachelor of journalism from the University of King’s College.
